The Flatwoods 5K is run just after sunrise on a natural, scenic limerock loop road around the Austin Cary Forest. The race is chip timed and the course is accurately measured, with mile markers. There is a water station at halfway, and post-race refreshments.
Early registration is $15 plus $15 for a shirt. Runners 14 years of age or younger race for free, but the shirt still costs $15 (sizes down to adult XS). Day of race registration is $20 and shirts are $20 (sizes available first come first serve).
T-shirts are synthetic nylon with long leaf pine artwork. This year's color will be orange.
Pine cone trophies to top male and female open and masters runners, and top 3 in all age groups. All runners 14 years or younger will recieve an award.
