Team FTC 5k Time Trial and Long Run

Schedule: All runners meet at 6:45 AM. 

6:50 AM: Long Run Starts and 5k Runners start their 15 min warm up jog

7:30 AM: 5k TT starts ( this will be a small group of around 10 runners so safe social distancing on this road route will be possible) 

Location: Norton Elementary School: 2200 NW 45th Ave, Gainesville, FL 32605  (plenty of street parking in this area, we will meet in front of the school on 45th ave) 

Long Run: 

This area has some great routes with nice loops for easy fueling during your long run! 

5k Time Trial: 

This 5k route begins where the paved trail meets the side walk. The first mile you run down the paved path crossing two small roads (keep an eye out for traffic but should be minimal at this time), then it has two quick turns on the side walk and then runs down 24th Blvd where you can run on the side walk or in the road. Then where 24th runs into 53rd Ave, you make a right turn on the side walk and then another quick right again onto the bike path, then you run 2/3 of a mile down the bike bath again to the finish! There are 1, 2, and 3 mile marks and a 5k mark at the finish. I will be there at the start and finish! Your GPS will track well on this VERY flat route with few turns as well!
